Q. What is ESOGUMUN?

ESOGUMUN is a Model United Nation Conference held annually at Eskisehir Osmangazi University in which students simulate United Nations committees and act as delegates by representing a certain country to the UN.

Q. Who organizes ESOGUMUN?

ESOGUMUN is organized by the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Diplomacy and Model United Nations Club Members and their beloved advisors.

Q. When and where will ESOGUMUN be held?

The conference will take place at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Congress and Culture Center in Meselik Campus.

Q. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND ESOGUMUN AND WHERE CAN I GET MY TICKET?

ESOGUMUN does not have an attendece fee therefore the conference is free, to take part you don’t need a ticket you just need to apply online.

Q. Who can apply?

ESOGUMUN Conference is only open to participants from Eskisehir, Turkey who are 15-25 years old.

Q. I WILL BE ATTENDING FROM ANOTHER CITY, WHAT ABOUT MY ACCOMODATION ?

Unfortunately, ESOGUMUN Conference does not offer accomodation for prospective delegates, however if you contact our team they can suggest you some affordable places to stay in Eskisehir.

Q. What if ESOGUMUN Conference is the first MUN Conference I will be attending?

If ESOGUMUN is your first MUN experience you don’t need to worry. On the first day of the conference our excellent academics team offers different trainings for first timers such as: MUN 101 and Mock Sessions where you will get to learn all about MUN and its rules of procedure.

Q. What is the official language of the conference?

The official language of ESOGU Model United Nations is English.

Q. When is the application deadline?

The application deadline is on the 25th November, 23:59

Q. How can I get prepared for the conference?

You can prepare yourself by reading the study guide, analysing the suggested readings for your committee and researching the policies of the country that you will be representing. The Study Guides for each committee will be available on our website.

Q. Is it compulsory to attend all the sessions?

Sessions are compulsory and delegates that are absent in more than 1 session will not receive a participation certificate.

Q. How many delegates will represent a country in each committee?

In ESOGUMUN, each country will have one representative in each committee.

Q. Is there a dress-code?

The dress-code for ESOGUMUN 2019 is formal. Business attire is suggested for female participants. Suits, ties and jackets are suggested for male participants. Casual attire is not allowed. However, there is no dress-code for social events.
